Test (Automation) Engineer

Would you like to help build software that is reliable, stable and ready for real-world use? Do you enjoy using test automation to find problems early and improve the development process?

As a Test Automation Engineer at Stacker, you will work on projects in the high-tech sector. You will help teams make quality part of the development process from the start. You will also build test solutions for complex technical software.

You will work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, product owners and other testers. You will have the opportunity to share your ideas about the test strategy, tools and ways to improve the testing process.

What will you do?

Depending on your experience and the project, you may work on:

• Developing and maintaining automated tests.
• Setting up and improving test frameworks.
• Automating functional, integration, regression and performance tests.
• Adding automated tests to CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrating AI and machine learning models.
• Analysing test results and identifying risks early.
• Improving test strategies, processes and quality standards.
• Working with developers and DevOps engineers to solve problems in the long term.
• Testing software for complex technical systems and high-tech products.

Depending on the project, you may work with tools and technologies such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, PyTest, JUnit, Cucumber, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps and Docker.

Most projects last between one and three years. This gives you enough time to understand the product, take responsibility and make real improvements to the testing process.

What are we looking for?

You have:

• Experience with test automation.
• Experience with a tool such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Robot Framework.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, Cursor or ChatGPT.
• Knowledge of a programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, C# or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control, for example Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical skills and a focus on quality.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
• Good communication skills and a proactive and critical attitude.

Experience with API testing, performance testing, Docker, databases, embedded systems or other technical systems is a plus.
